Eremo of Toschi

quiet walk in the Valley that made Wednesday by the Ram 15 with my friend Max. Sulla sinistra della strada, appena oltrepassato l’edificio di Osteria nuova, si può parcheggiare. Si fanno pochi metri in direzione del ponte,  poi si varca  il cancello (richiudere) attaccato allo stesso e si trova il segnale CAI.

Santa Maria Hermitage (Hermitage or the Toschi or Tusci). The current structure è in gran parte dovuta ai rifacimenti del 1923, ma conserva il suo antico fascino anche grazie alla facciata a capanna preceduta da un portico a due arcate, al grazioso campaniletto a vela e alla commistione fra la parte religiosa e la parte rurale degli edifici. Sulle sue origini c’è qualche dubbio: tradizionalmente lo si vuole fondato da San Romualdo che venne in questa valle nel 986, 1004 e 1021, ma le prime notizie sicure risalgono al 1021; pare fosse dotato anche di un hospitale per pellegrini, dipendente dall’Abbazia di San Godenzo. Noi andiamo a sinistra verso la Colla della Maestà, dove imbocchiamo il sentiero 00 verso Poggio Erbolini. Il sottobosco della faggeta e pieno di ciclamini. Scesi alla strada sterrata alla Colla dei Lastri, poco dopo riprendiamo  lo “00” fino alla Fiera dei Poggi, dove si va a left on the path 403. mushroom Polyporus Z oomata on e from the path 403.
